Hancock, a label out of Scotland set the bar for innovative outerwear this season. Using Macintosh fabric, Hancock retained a very classic silhouette but was able to incorporate great details, colors and fabrics into their Spring/Summer collection. My favorite piece was the light pink top coat. The coat was very traditional and had all the details of a very classic topcoat, a ticket pocket, a undercollar and even a breast pocket. The coat itself is taped for waterproofing and the mackintosh makes this coat a very functional 21st century piece of clothing. It is rare to see such a timeless piece reinterpreted with technical fabrics. Another very interesting item was the Globetrotter backpack collaboration. The two worked on a hardcase backpack with Macintosh lining. You should be seeing Hancock in a range of New York stores next year. Be sure to check it out.
